Ask The D.A These Questions:

1. Under what provision of the Nevada Criminal Code did the judge purport to act in releasing the convicted man?

2. In Nevada, does a judge have the power to release a convicted criminal even though there has been no action by the parole board and no opportunity for the victim or his family to be heard?

3. Was this release the result of a habeas corpus petition or some other form of post-conviction relief?

4. Was this individual given an indeterminate sentence, and, if so, does Nevada law empower the sentencing judge to determine the release date at some future time without a hearing at which the victim or his family can be heard?

5. Is there any action the State of Nevada can take to reverse the trial judge's ruling?
